We believe that each child deserves to feel safe and be safe. IdentyKidz was established due to the number of children that goes missing each year, and we wanted to help.

Our IdentityAlert app was purposefully developed to promptly notify users and communities about missing persons. Our primary goal is to ensure that users receive alerts as soon and as accurate as possible, when a person is reported as missing. In the event of confirmed kidnappings, we also proactively inform various national organizations. We deeply recognize the significance of timely and reliable information when it pertains to missing persons.

Be prepared. We provide guidance on preventive measures that can be taken to prepare for and mitigate instances of missing children. Our preventive measures include the use of technology to keep families safe and effective ways to use social media without sharing private information. Social media and other technologies can be great tools when a loved one is missing. We strive to keep children safe by researching and analyzing missing children cases and instances where prevention tactics were successful.

Proactive identity kits

We provide schools with our unique, copyrighted software to create a comprehensive proactive identity kit for each child. The identity kit will include: a photo, full description, DNA instructions, a body map, and fingerprints. Parents receive the proactive kit of their child to keep it in a secure location. If a parent needs to report a child as missing, they can provide the proactive identity kit to the police, which could significantly assist with the investigation.

In some instances, police may utilize DNA, fingerprints, or distinct physical features such as facial or body marks to identify a missing person. Our service offers a convenient and painless way to collect DNA samples. Additionally, it includes tools for creating detailed body maps, which parents can compile, keep, and maintain.

  • According to the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC), an estimated 8 million children go missing worldwide each year.
  • The estimated number is likely to be understated, as many cases remain unreported, particularly in developing countries.

  • Statistics in 2013 showed that on average, a child is reported missing in South Africa every 5 hours.
  • Between 2011 and 2020, kidnappings increased by 133% in South Africa.

  • Every year 300,000 children are taken from all around the world and sold by human traffickers as slaves.
  • In the USA, 800 000 children go missing each year.
  • In Australia, an estimated 20,000 young people are reported missing every year.
  • In Brazil, an estimated 40,000 children are reported missing every year.
  • In Canada, there were 45,609 missing children reports in 2016.
  • In India, an estimated 96,000 children go missing each year.
  • In Germany, approximately 100,000 children go missing each year.
  • In Russia, an estimated 45,000 children were reported missing in 2015.
  • In Spain, an estimated 20,000 children are reported missing every year.
  • In the United Kingdom, an estimated 112,853 children are reported missing every year.
  • In Jamaica, an estimated 1,984 children were reported missing in 2015.

A study in 2015 found that of reported missing children cases:

  • 13.1% involved children between the ages of 0 and 6
  • 18.2% were children between 7 and 12
  • 68.6% involved children between 13 and 17.
